Degree Fees and Fee Help

Students studying degree level courses have different fee structures and payment options.
Payment Options
- Paying upfront - tuition fees are due to be paid by Census date.
- FEE-HELP is a government loan scheme available to degree students only. It can cover all or part of your tuition fees for a degree program.
- If you are intending to use FEE-HELP you need to submit your request to studentloans@angliss.edu.au. Then you will receive instructions to complete the application form, which must be fully submitted prior to census date.
- To be eligible for FEE-HELP, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be one of the following:
- an Australian citizen; or
- the holder of a permanent humanitarian visa who will be resident in Australia for the duration of the course of study; or
- a New Zealand Special Category Visa (SCV) holder who meets the long term residency requirements and who studies the entire course while living in Australia; or
- the holder of a permanent visa who is undertaking bridging study for overseas-trained professionals and will be resident in Australia for the duration of the course of study; or the holder of a Pacific Engagement Visa (PEV)
- Be enrolled in an eligible higher education program prior to census date
- Submit the Request for Fee-HELP loan by census date
- Have an available HELP balance
- Have a Unique Student Identifier (USI) prior to the first census date
- You must have a valid Tax File Number
- Be one of the following:
- Students applying for FEE-HELP fall under strict guidelines regarding application submissions, refunds, course/unit withdrawal and repayments. For full information on FEE-HELP, please visit Study Assist and read the following material:
REQUIRED EVIDENCE
EVIDENCE OF AUSTRALIAN CITIZENSHIP
You will need to provide one of the following:
- An Australian Passport
- An Australian Citizenship Certificate
- A Citizenship by Descent extract
- If you were born in Australia before 20 August 1986, your full Australian birth certificate
- If you were born in Australia on or after 20 August 1986 and one of your parents was an Australian Citizen at the time of your birth
- If your full Australian birth certificate shows that one of your parents was born in Australia before 20 August 1986, your full Australian birth certificate
- If your parent was not born in Australia before 20 August 1986:
- A) your full Australian birth certificate and your parent's Australian citizenship certificate OR
- B) your full Australian birth certificate and your parent's full Australian birth certificate.
- If you were born in Australia on or after 20 August 1986 but neither of your parents was an Australian citizen at the time of your birth, your Australian citizenship certificate.
If you cannot provide any of the above you should apply for your own evidence of Australian citizenship through the Department of Home Affairs.
AUSTRALIAN PERMANENT HUMANITARIAN VISA HOLDER
- Permanent humanitarian visa VEVO
NEW ZEALAND CITIZENS
- New Zealand Special Category Visa, and
- Your updated international Movement Records (IMR) including information from the last 10 years. This can be requested online through the Home Affairs webpage.
Your international movement records are used as evidence to meet the long term residency criteria:
- first began residing in Australia at least 10 years prior to the loan application
- you were a dependent child under 18 years of age when you were first usually resident in Australia
- you have been in Australia for a total of 8 out of the last 10 years
- you have been in Australia for a total of 18 months out of the last 2 years.

Withdrawals and Refunds
If you wish to change or withdraw from your course or units, you need to follow our withdrawal process and complete a withdrawal application.
Withdrawal applications must be submitted before Census Date in order to receive a full or partial refund for your course or unit. If your withdrawal is received after the relevant census date for your units of study, fees will remain in your student account. Visit our refunds page for further information.
Census Dates
The census day for a course, or a part of a course (e.g. unit), is the last day you can:
- complete the eCAF to apply for FEE-HELP to cover the tuition of your course
- withdraw your enrolment without incurring a debt for the course or part of the course
