Responsible provision of gambling services is an essential underpinning skill for all hospitality personnel involved in the sale and service of gambling activities in licensed premises, including the licensee, gaming supervisors and gaming managers when involved in operational gambling activities.
If you are seeking employment within the gaming industry, the completion of the RCG certificate is a legal requirement.

Responsible Conduct of Gambling training is endorsed by Liquor & Gaming NSW.
The Responsible Conduct of Gambling course is part of the NSW gaming industry's ongoing commitment to the implementation of responsible gaming practices. This accredited program has been developed to meet identified needs of the NSW gaming machine industry as well as addressing the required learning outcomes within the nationally accredited hospitality unit - 'SITHGAM022 - Provide Responsible Conductmof Gambling .
This course provides gaming staff and potential gaming staff with the necessary knowledge and skills required to develop responsible, caring and professional service in the gaming environment, so that the negative potential for harm is minimised.
If you are seeking employment within the gaming industry, the completion of the RCG certificate is a legal requirement. You will also be given information on ‘How to apply for a Gaming Industry Employees Licence’
Important Information – although this course is nationally accredited, it may not be accepted in certain state/ territories. It is advisable to contact the appropriate government department if moving interstate.
On successful completion of the course, you will receive an interim certificate from L&GNSW. Take this certificate to a Service NSW centre with 100 points of identity to begin the process to add this to your competency card.
