William Angliss Institute Awarded Self Accrediting Authority Status
William Angliss Institute is proud to announce that it has been awarded Self Accrediting Authority (SAA) status by the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA), Australia’s higher education regulator.
The prestigious Self-Accrediting Authority designation grants William Angliss Institute the same status as universities, enabling the Institute to self-accredit its degree programs without the need for TEQSA approval. This includes the degree programs in Culinary Management, Events Management, Resort and Hotel Management, and Tourism and Hospitality Management. The recognition further highlights the trust and confidence TEQSA has in the Institute’s quality assurance and governance practices.
Mr Nicholas Hunt, Director of Education and Strategic Development at William Angliss Institute, expressed his excitement, stating, “This is a fantastic achievement that underscores the Institute’s reputation as a leader in delivering high-quality education programs tailored to the needs of the experience industry.”
He continued, “William Angliss Institute continues to thrive as Australia’s largest specialist training centre for food, tourism, hospitality, and events. In fact, we are one of only a select number of independent higher education providers to attain self-accrediting status.”
“This milestone is a testament to the Institute’s commitment to academic excellence, strong governance, and its dedication to providing exceptional student experiences and outcomes,” Mr Hunt added.
William Angliss Institute offers higher education programs to both local and international students at its Melbourne and Sydney campuses.
Mr Andrew Dolphin, Manager of Higher Education, concluded, “Achieving self-accreditation is a significant milestone for higher education at William Angliss Institute. With the ability to self-accredit new programs, we can now respond more quickly and effectively to the evolving needs of students and employers. Our focus remains on equipping students with the skills required for the future.”
