William Angliss Institute Announces New CEO Appointment
Grant Dreher to Lead Institute from April 2025
It is with great pleasure that we announce the appointment of our new CEO, Grant Dreher, who will be joining William Angliss Institute on 28 April 2025. Grant brings a wealth of experience within the education sector and has established deep links to the industry sectors for foods, tourism, hospitality, and events, which our Institute supports.
With over 25 years of experience in executive and senior leadership in vocational and higher education, most recently as CEO of TasTAFE, Grant has demonstrated exceptional vision and commitment to advancing educational outcomes. His extensive background in both vocational and higher education makes Grant uniquely qualified to lead our Institute into the future.
Grant has also forged robust partnerships with industry leaders and Government, ensuring that our programs will remain relevant and responsive to the evolving needs of the workforce. Grant’s strategic approach and innovative mindset will undoubtedly contribute to the continued growth and success of William Angliss Institute.

We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the outstanding contributions of our outgoing CEO, Nicholas Hunt, whose leadership has positioned William Angliss Institute as a showcase of excellence in vocational and higher education. Under Nicholas’s guidance, we have achieved remarkable milestones and set a strong foundation for future success. We are delighted that Nicholas will continue with William Angliss Institute as Director, Education and Strategic Development.
We also appreciate the contribution of the Acting CEO, Wayne Crosbie, who has led the Institute during the interim from Nicholas’s transition through to the commencement of Grant in April 2025.
