Opportunities to Offers at Careers and Jobs Fair
This March, over 20 industry employers gathered in the Student Lounge at our Melbourne CBD campus for the Angliss Careers and Jobs Fair for a chance to meet and employ our sought-after students.
Exhibitors included IHG Hotels & Resorts (InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn), Lune Croissanterie, event group Food & Desire, Lucas Restaurants (Chin Chin, Society, Grill Americano), Sand Hill Road (Hotel Esplanade, Garden State, Richmond Club Hotel), and many more.
166 students took up the opportunity to meet and greet the industry leaders who shared valuable insights and career advice and were all actively hiring.
To prepare, students were given the opportunity to improve their resumes and interview skills through additional workshops and events hosted by the Careers and Employment team. This drove confidence and ensured students put their best foot forward, giving them the greatest chance to make an impression and secure an interview.
For some, the opportunity was so successful they were employed on the day! Some lucky attendees also received prizes on the day including food, drink and accommodation vouchers, thanks to our partners Hotel Career TAA, Sand Hill Road, Commune Group, Hotel Chadstone, Pullman Melbourne Albert Park, Pullman Melbourne on the Park and Novotel Melbourne on Collins.
