On-campus graduation for our resilient graduates
William Angliss Institute recently held its first big on-campus celebrations, marking the momentous occasion of our graduates' achievements.
The events commemorated 130 graduates across the speciality areas of foods, tourism, hospitality and events. The celebrations were also available online, making it easily accessible for regional and international family and friends. The ceremonies are available to watch on angliss.edu.au/graduation.
The Institute was particularly proud to welcome three keynote alumni speakers: Sally Taouk, Front Desk Manager, Crown Towers Melbourne; Matteo Pignatelli, Owner of Matteo's Restaurant and Institute Board Member; and Casey Bonacci, Managing Director/Founder of Casey Bonacci Events, who provided the graduands with both inspiration and practical advice.
The support and insights of the Institute's industry partners is incredibly important in providing graduates with training and job opportunities. Major industry partners such as Altara Airlines, Club Chef and SKAL support the students throughout the year. Many other partners recognise the development of skills and knowledge through sponsored awards.
William Angliss Institute Chief Executive Officer, Nicholas Hunt said, "Given the challenging year our graduating students have had to endure, I pay tribute to their tenacity, perseverance, commitment and hard work to obtain their qualification during such a trying time. In graduating, our students can be optimistic about their chosen profession as they enter an industry with a high demand for skills. It is also absolutely appropriate to acknowledge and thank our industry partners and sponsors for their sustained support which is highly valued."
