Events placements build industry confidence

Twenty-four students completed a range of placements across a wide cross-section of industries including working for The Conference Manager, the Accommodation Association of Australia, Incognitus (Event Company), Red Scooter and Queen Victoria Market

The students undertake 16 days work in their placement learning about the full spectrum of activities involved in running events.

"It was great to hear the range of experiences our students have out in industry and see how this connects with their training on campus. In addition to gaining experience and skills which will help their careers, there is also a lot of personal development and confidence building that happens as part of this program," teacher and placement coordinator Julie Rayner said.
