An exciting first semester for our new students
Our new students had a bustling start to their Angliss journey with O-Week and now, well into their studies, they're starting to settle in and get busy learning.
We gave away some exciting prizes to two new students who entered our O-Week competitions, winning them some fun trips to Holey Moley and Strike Bowling, delicious burgers from Grill'd, free coffees from Angliss' Cafe 555 and more.
To continue with the festivities, the Student Services team has planned a jam-packed semester for our students. Here's what's coming up in the next couple of months
Take The Cake Exhibition
18-25 March 2020 at The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia (side entry of Federation Square)
As part of Melbourne Design Week 2020, we're working with the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival in bringing to life your favorite birthday cakes from the beloved Australian Women's Weekly Children's Birthday Cake Book.
The works of our 40 students will be joined by some households named including Chrissy Swan, Jane Kennedy, Virginia Trioli, Shaynna Blaze, Chyka Keebaugh and Beatrix Bakery.
Visitors are welcome to purchase cupcakes inspired by the book from Cafe Deakin Edge and for those who want to decorate, there'll be an opportunity to decorate your own!
International Women's Day: Women in Hospitality
6 March 2020 at room A534
We've tracked down four exceptional alumni to chat with us about their professional and life experiences as women leaders in their industry. You can look forward to meeting Lisa Bolle (Executive Chef at The Big Group), Sharom Calleja (Sales Manager at Peter Rowland), Katie Doyle (Human Capital and Development Executive at Pan Pacific Hotel) and Britney Lord (Chocolatier at KitKat Factory).
